a humble beginning in 1986-87 as
a Department of Home Science in the Faculty of Agriculture Science with a couple of insignificant rooms at its disposal, the discipline, gained the status of College in the 1986 with a building and premises of its own, for which the foundation stone was laid in September 1986.
