Facilities and Expertise Available in the Department
 
The Department has UG and PG Laboratories with moderate facilities for students to carryout practical and thesis work.
In addition, classroom, departmental library, and instrument room for sophisticated equipments are also available in the Department.
Besides, moderately equipped research laboratories are available to each faculty member
Major equipments : UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, GLC, Electronic Analytical Balances, Centrifuge, Ovens, BOD incubator, Muffle furnaces, Autoclave, Refrigerators, Heating devices, Electrophoresis system etc.
Department has six experienced faculty members specialized in teaching and research both
Adequate research expertise is available in the department in the area of food & nutritional biochemistry with specialization in the Biochemistry of Cereals, Legumes, Oilseeds, Vegetables and leaf protein research.
