 Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC)
 
Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC) sponsored by Indian council of  Agriculture Research, New Delhi, has been established at the main gate of the university to  provide services through a single window concept to the farmer's and other clientele by a  team of multidisciplinary experts. The main objectives of all are to provide diagnostic  advisory and input related services to the farmers. Information regarding weather and  marketing and sale of seeds, seedlings, mushroom span, etc, are other major activities  performed by ATIC. The progress of ATIC for the year 2002-03 is as follows:

This centre was visited by 3169 farmers for obtaining advice and inputs like seed, bio fertilizers, planting materials, milk products etc.

Seed of different commodities was sold to the extent of Rs. 5,96,099.50.

125 soil samples and 155 seed samples were tested during 2002-03.

House hold products, dairy products and farm machinery were also sold from ATIC.

Publications like Krishak Bharti, Periodical literature etc. were brought out in large quantity and distributed to farmers .
   
 Krishak Help Line Service
 
The University has started "Krishak Help Line Service" for providing on line advice to the  farming community with the financial support of Mandi Parishad. Its working hours is 1:00 to  3:00 P.M. daily on every working day of the university. This cell has been established in the  ATIC building and it operates with the presence of a team of experts of various disciplines  during working hours. Experts are available to answer the questions of farmers on toll free  phone No. 1600335122. 2270 queries of farmers and other were solved during 2002-2003.
 
 Agriculture Information Bureau
 
In order to provide information support to farmers and other entrepreneurs and also to  make efficient and effective linkage with various institutions/organisations/agencies the  university established an Agril Information Bureau. It brought out monthly magazine "Krishak Bharti" and quarterly University News Letter.

 20,000 copies of monthly magazine 'Krishak Bharti' were printed and circulated by the  bureau among farmers and other subscribers 900 copies of the CSAU News (News letter)  were also circulated to State Agricultural Universities, ICAR Institutions and organisation in  the country and abroad.
