The Agricultural Knowledge Management Units (AKMU)
was established in 1998 under the Administrative
control of the Director Research. The Cell is located
in the new building of the College of Agriculture.
Dr. Munish Gangwar, Associate Professor is the Officer-In-charge
of the AKMU. |

It
has been equipped with infrastructures
like Linux server, LAN server, Computer
workstations, printers, and various software’s like- SPSS, Corel, Oracle 9i etc. . E-mail and Internet connectivity through
ERNET 1 Mbps leased line is being used
by more than 75 workstations. The website
of the University www.csauk.ac.in is
hosted and maintained by the AKMU. It
provides the information about all the
research, teaching and extension activities
of the university. |

The
Cell also provides facilities such as
LAN connectivity to various offices of
the University and all Heads of Department
in the College of Agriculture and Home
Science. So far 142 faculty members of
the university have been trained in various
uses of computer viz: Basics, Windows,
MS-Office, Networking, E-mail, Internet,
Data analysis and project planning. |

Scientists of various discipline engaged in teaching
and research have been trained in Computer application.
The course contents were- computer basics, MS-DOS,
Windows, MS- World, Power Point, Excel, MS-Access,
LAN and Internet etc. Similarly 65 non- teaching staff
has also been trained on above aspects of computer
operations |
